Learning, Thinking.

Lately, I've been learning about architecture through a friend of mine that is traveling with us through Vietnam. When we were touring through the imperial post office of Saigon, I brought up the architectural feature, "arcade", because I've always wondered what it meant, and I was always intrigued by the name. I learned that an arcade was a line of pillars, that in between them, contain points of interaction, such as these, in the post office, which feature teller's booths as the point of interaction.

This got me to thinking to thinking about in my graffit-shenanigan days, it was pretty common to tag the series of collumns under overpasses so you would get an effect like this:

So if you consider graffiti to be a point of human interaction, would tagging a series of pillars under an overpass transform it into an "arcade"? Street art's effect on architecture intrigues me, tell me what you think or if you know of anything else of this nature.
